In recognition of National Consumer Protection Week the first week of March, California Attorney General Rob Bonta today released a list of the Top 10 Consumer Complaints. The list includes the top consumer complaint categories the California Department of Justice (DOJ) has received in the last calendar year.
National Consumer Protection Week is a great way to remind the public that if you see misconduct or are the victim of a scam you are encouraged to immediately file a complaint. Whether protecting yourself, your children online, stopping egregious bank fees, or cracking down on illegal price gouging, you have the law on your side.
Attorney General Bonta urges Californians to report misconduct or violations of state consumer protection laws to DOJ at oag.ca.gov/report. Complaints submitted by the public provide DOJ and sister agencies with important information about potential misconduct to help determine whether to investigate a business or individual.
If you have or are experiencing any issues related to any of these complaints or others you might have questions or concerns about , please give 360 Consumer Law™ for a consultation. We are dedicated to protecting consumers and righting wrongs.
